The Story of Seven-10 Split
Hmm....where to start? Seven-10 Split began it's existence in February of 1996, with the founding members: Nathan Gielis on guitar, Matt Wrigley on drums, and Chin Boy Yabbmeister on the bass. At that stage, there was no name, just a really poor band playing NOFX and Pennywise covers. As time passed, they became "Debacle", a name which aptly described every facet of their playing and demeanour.
They evolved to be known as "Freebeer", a name which lasted for quite a while.....and saw the band evolve greatly. Nate's guitar playing soared to new heights....and Matt reached levels of drum proficiency putting him on a level with the great Kenny Aronoff. Sgt Slaughters' bass playing still sucked.
A new member appeared on the scene, Mark Wrigley, to take up second guitar duties, and to sing too....something they lacked for their first year or so...
As their first gig neared, there name evolved to S.C.H.C - The So-Called Hard Cunts...in reference to their new hardcore leanings, and hero worship of Francis Begbie. After that gig, there was a rift, brought about by the evil Yabby pumper, one that split the band for about two months.
After the reunion, the band became Seven-10 Split.....and the Lizard Bitch lover still sucked......so, as they neared the moment when glory would be showered upon them, the inevitable occurred. Nate, Matt, and Mark killed Chin Boy Yabbmeister, and Mark took on the bass duties.
Be prepared for the next chapter in the greatest band the world has ever seen.......
